Thanks for listening Inspired. How exactly with the YRG pro be better than Gen 2? Dosent seem to be much difference other than body and navigation. I dont mean any disrespect but I wouldnt waste any time with onboard sounds. I dont know one composer or musician that uses them. With the amazing sound libraries out there you are spinning your wheels IMO.
When exactly will the pro be coming out? July 30th is a very tight timeline to raise 80K! I will do my part to promote it.

Like I said, ridiculously cool people at this company! What other company lets you trade in a Gen 1 device of any kind for Gen 2!? Name one.
I hope this will stop the unwarranted bashing of this company. MIDI guitars have been around for 30 years people. 30 years! Inspired are the first company to make an affordable device that tracks better than any of its expensive counterparts. Its not perfect but they are improving the product.
I cant wait for the new YRG!

can someone please talk more about how the tracking has improved.... pickups etc. i found the YRG gen1 was not sensitive enough and the dynamic range was tricky to get 'right'. soft fingerpicking simply would not register. even with the sensitivity @ 10. will we be able to store more than 9 presets for custom tunings?
Hi Lxm Tracking Improvements We have optimized the pickup mechanism to so that the picking response is more consistent, repeatable and sensitive. (This makes no difference for tappers). This is a mechanical change to the pickup system. Tracking firmware has been overhauled to work with the new pickup system. Additionally we now final test every unit in our US warehouse. Feature Overview is here http://yourockguitar.com/component/content/article/194Still max of 9 custom tunings. Shame about the custom tunings. Its very crucial for composition. Would providing users with more custom tuning options something that could be looked at in the future(via Gen2)? Good to hear about the tracking. I think testing the final product at home is a fantastic idea for everyone. I have heard rumblings that release will be in a month-ish from now. Is that accurate? Is there a concrete street date?

String Sensitivity - Adjusting / String sensitivity can be adjusted on several levels, here are some tips / Re: I want yourock guitar to be very very very sensitive

Hi- This can be done as I too have a very light touch. I have found that it just takes a while and some patience to zero in on the correct settings. I've been at it for about a week and now it is ALMOST perfect, although I occasionally still get get the untriggered or false triggering once in a while. I can switch between my acoustic and the YRG with VERY little adjustement of my right hand (finger picking) technique. Beetween the string tension (which seems to work best for me on the looser end of the scale) and the control panel adjustments-and a small mod I came up with placing a "pad" under the pickup cover (posted elsewhere on the forum) I can say I'm very happy with the results. I did this- I tweaked a little-made some recordings-listened for volume differences,etc-tweaked some more-finding that even a very small adjustment in string tension made a huge difference, as well as small adjustments in the control panel. Patience and getting "under the hood" of this instrument has paid off quite nicely. I now believe that, like other posts have mentioned, some of the encountered problems are "human error", that is-I've realized just how sloppy my playing is, since the YRG is not so forgiving. I have actually seen and heard an improvement in my playing style (right hand) and co-ordination, especially translated to my other guitars, since I've been experimenting the YRG. Is it umpleasant to realize this-YES! Is this a good thing for me-YES! bob, could you take a screenshot of your YRG control panel settings?

people here should be more greatful for what this company has done. they are coming out with a new and improved model and you guys complain? really? i find that baffling. i had a problem with my neck when i first got my yrg. they sent me a new neck @ no cost within days. REALLY cool people to deal with.
i spend about 8-10 hours a day/5 to 6 days a week in the studio. the yrg is my main tool for MIDI. i am also writing and recording a record the last couple months and i use the YGR for all my MIDI composition. its far from perfect but its pretty clear to me that the guys at inspired care about what they are doing a great deal for us guitar players.
i have turned around a dozen people onto the YRG and will continue to do so. i have tried ALL the MIDI guitar options out there. ALL of them. the YRG is the best ATM. i really hope this new model pans out. if the devs need another beta tester please get in touch.

Posted this in general discussion but its not getting any love. DEVS can you please let me(us) know about the below.....
Just wondering if there are any plans for a PRO model and if there is... when? Im a film composer and I use the YGR everyday(often 6-8 hrs a day). Its great, but it has its problems if you are a serious composer.
I REALLY have to applaud the devs for putting this product out at such a great price point. For what you get its absolutely amazing. I just dropped alot more money on... well lets just say the competitors product, and I prefer the YGR. That says alot. If Inspired takes this little thing to the next level I think they would sell like hotcakes.
Dev's please feel free to PM me if you want some more insight on what could be improved.

Thanks for the positive words! We are continually working on improvements. Pro mode will be released in a week or two - but will need Mad Catz - MIDI pro adapter. A Pro 'mode' is coming out? What does that mean? Mad Catz? Can you provide a little more detail? I was referring to an entirely new instrument made ONLY for musicians. You know upgraded..... everything. Including even better sensors I hope
