so i have the latest firmware as for todays date. ive loosen the screws 1/4 turn.

i play w/o a pick and play "classical" style but the sound of the strings with my right hand sound louder than the sound im playing in my computer. (whatever midi instrument i choose at normal listening levels)

like if im playing an arpeggio , think of metallicas unforgiving intro arpeggio part. i wanna play at THAT sensitivity with the fingers.
like if you where playing that part in a normal guitar and then change to yourock guitar your playing sensitivity would be the same.
right now i have to play harder than normal to be able to play all the notes and not have drops. (happens the same with ALL the strings)

i am on a mac.

is there a way to make the string a lot more sensitive?

i cant find the software for mac to change the settings. where is it? link please.

how do i change the sensitivity in the menu of the yourock guitar. i cant find the info in the manual.

thanks

Apparently our links are temporarily broken  ... I will get you some links to the user guide and control panel that will make it easy to do this ... Please give me a few hours

some additional information about sensitivity:

http://yourockguitar.com/support/technical-notes/164-technical-notes-string-sensitivity
http://yourockguitar.com/support/technical-notes/161-technical-notes-double-triggers

we have found that most people can adapt the guitar to their playing style, but it can take some 'tweaking'
as described in the docs above

Hi- This can be done as I too have a very light touch. I have found that it just takes a while and some patience to zero in on the correct settings. I've been at it for about a week and now it is ALMOST perfect, although I occasionally still get get the untriggered or false triggering once in a while. I can switch between my acoustic and the YRG with VERY little adjustement of my right hand (finger picking) technique. Beetween the string tension (which seems to work best for me on the looser end of the scale) and the control panel adjustments-and a small mod I came up with placing a "pad" under the pickup cover (posted elsewhere on the forum) I can say I'm very happy with the results. I did this- I tweaked a little-made some recordings-listened for volume differences,etc-tweaked some more-finding that even a very small adjustment in string tension made a huge difference, as well as small adjustments in the control panel. Patience and getting "under the hood" of this instrument has paid off quite nicely.  Smiley
I now believe that, like other posts have mentioned, some of the encountered problems are "human error", that is-I've realized just how sloppy my playing is, Embarrassed since the YRG is not so forgiving. I have actually seen and heard an improvement in my playing style (right hand) and co-ordination, especially translated to my other guitars, since I've been experimenting the YRG. Is it umpleasant to realize this-YES! Is this a good thing for me-YES!  Cool

Hi bob1474

Glad to hear you are getting good results. We too have found that string tension makes a huge difference. I tend to do loosen it about 1/4 turn - sometime that requires to lower the Trigger Threshold - typically from 7 (default) down to 5 or 6 if I get false triggers (crosstalk).  One of the biggest contributors to double triggering in general is timing between hammer ons and picking ... hammer on always transmit a note even in cases when you pick the string, players tend to press the note slightly before picking ... this results in two notes being send one on top of the other. We have a fix for this that we will provide in the next firmware release.
