The title says it all, it would be great if you guys could make a battery pack that fits into the current battery slot, but automatically recharges every time you plug the YRG into USB/Computer

Yes, I heartily second that request!
I don't use the YRG much outside of MIDI control (not crazy about most of the built-in sounds), but I found out that it eats batteries even when USB-powered. Will it hurt to take out the batteries when running on USB?

I've seen several threads about this and I think having the battery charge while connected to USB is a brilliant idea. The battery life on these could be better but when you consider all that it does I'm surprised they last as long as they do! An auto shut-off feature may be an easier fix than changing the battery setup all together but I'd be all for it!
