Us poor Bass players have really been ignored since the days of the Peavey CyberBass. Yes there are a couple midi basses out there (used Wal, Industrial Radio) but lots of $$$ to take those steps!

Pretty please! Grin

Maybe , as discussed earlier about issues with the existing neck, they could make another version configured to emulate a bass neck on the same body ? Smiley

Just change it to be pitched an octave down, call it a 6-string bass, and job's a good'un. Smiley

Grab, 'tis not the same alas...Strings are too skinny and spacing is too close, and plucking like a bass player does (well most do I suspect) results in false triggers when the string upward of the plucked string is hit. You can try to avoid that, but it takes a very different classical guitar like technique...haven't seen that many bass players using it, though some do.

I feel your pain. Bass is my first instrument.I use to play some complicated stuff (RUSH, Maiden) but there is no way I could pull it off on the YRG. I mostly play simple bass patterns 1/4 and 1/8 notes roots and 5ths and walking lines.

I agree a bass version would be great! You could get so many vintage to modern tones and then using the midi to get some deep low strings or orchestrated instruments could be insane!
