New user here...hello everyone. I am on my first week here w/the YRG. Quite pleased w/it so far. Been putting it through the paces as far as checking out the presets, jamming to the tracks, linking to PC for vsti midi use, recording onboard and on PC, and also trying out the open tunings. I have yet to adjust any of the settings, but did loosen the strings a full turn to get it to play the way I like, which is mostly fingerpicking. I am just wondering if anyone has tried a little silicone on the neck to speed up the playing feel/action on the YRG? It just seems a little slow.
Here's my first RECing on it! Just a quick run with Samplitude's "Century Keys".

that sounds  impressive. is it a fully live performance, i mean without any software editing
coz if i played something like that i'd get loads of silent notes. interesting u say u haven't altered any settings yet.
i am beginning to suspect i have a faulty unit.
do u get any glitches at all when playing ?

tangerine make sure you have the latest firmware update and then use the control panel to tweak your string sensitivity as this makes huge improvements. As for using some type of lubricant on the neck I'm not really sure how effective it would be on that material or if it would have any ill effect on the electonics of the neck but I have had people ask me if you can use fast fret or something like that and I don't think in the end it was very effective.
