Why can't the company add a velcro straped recharable lithium battery inside the guitar so that we don't need the disposable batteries anymore? It would be cheap because you don't have to redesign the body. Is it possible to leave the disposable battery option on the guitar and add a velcro strapped lithium ion or better recharable battery inside so that we can have it both ways? What are the steps taken or required to wire in a recharable battery so that it can recharge it while you power thru the usb port? Anyone done this mod or know how to do it?

The rechargeable battery idea is great! I saw another thread somewhere about that same topic but yeah that would be rad!

I've been so spoiled by devices with rechargeable batteries that I went and bought 8 rechargeable double-A's, just for my You Rock Guitar. When the four AA's in the YRG wind down, I pop the other four in while recharging the others.

It's better than using disposable batteries.

I think the rechargeable batteries are not favored because of the memory effect problem they might have in them. Though the idea is cool and it is really convenient to have them in guitar. music lesson
