OK, so I'm using MIDI connection to play a B3 in Logic Express - is there a way to assign the whammy bar to control the drawbars or the Leslie or anything else? It wouls add so much more expressive capability…I'm a total MIDI virgin, so please be gentle, i.e. explanations at idiot level in plain English, please!

Hi- I"m just a YRG owner like yourself, but that is a nice idea. (you should probably post it in the user request area).  It should be possible, as the whammy bar is nothing more than a MIDI cotrol asigned a "CC number". YRG would have to make the whammy "assignable" for this to happen. You might want to see if the software (b3 or other) will let you change the "CC numbers" that the individual fx are controlled by. Say the whammy bar is assigned controller #75 by YRG (just guessing), you MIGHT be able to set your software up so the item you want to control is set to recieve messages on control #75.  Trying to keep it simple- the whammy bar and say, the Leslie control, need to "talk" to each other. This is done in MIDI by assigning channels and control numbers.  Hope this helps a bit  Smiley

Great advice! I'm curious to try this as well as it would be a great feature!
