Please, please DON’T HATE THE GEEK. He’s an awesome dude. Here at You Rock Guitar we love him and we think you will, too, if you salivate at all things super-tech. You’re in the right place with Geek, who’s savvy, resourceful, knowledgeable and inarguably geeky—and that’s good!
He also generously gives back to the community, and recently invited You Rock Guitar to participate in a two-day event, PONG for Hope, in Warrensburg, Mo., benefiting both the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. Who doesn’t know someone who’s been affected by either condition?
PONG for Hope was a super celebration of one of the earliest video arcade games. Geek shared the news as happened on Streamly.tv during the Feb. 18 – 20 PONG-fest.
The rules were simple: “The more money donated, the longer we play.” And play they did, spurring donations to $6,000—the goal. Good fun for a cause is never out of style. By the way, Geek plays a mean You Rock Guitar. Rock on, Geek!
